Todowing

Todowing is a Chrome extension for the Todoist web app. Todoist flattens sub-tasks in date and filter views, so a parent task and its children show up with no structure. Todowing nests them under their parent, up to four levels deep, in Today, Upcoming, Boards, Filters, and Labels. Each sub-task row shows its own due date, priority, and labels, and you can complete or reopen sub-tasks right in the list.

The free version costs $0 and needs no account. It includes all the nesting features, seven color palettes, and a text size slider (85% to 200%), with a cap of 5 sub-task rows per top-level task. The lifetime unlock is a one-time $19.99 payment with no subscription. It removes the cap and adds inline add, rename, and reorder for sub-tasks, a toggle to hide done sub-tasks, filing one task under a parent in another project, a focus timer shared across tabs, time estimates, a markdown notes pad above Today, a font picker, and read-only Apple Calendar events in Today. Refunds are available within 14 days.

Todowing is built for Todoist users on any plan who want sub-tasks visible outside the project view. It runs in the Todoist web app in Chrome, not in the Todoist desktop app. Your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks do not pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking. Todowing is an unofficial companion and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Doist.
